Warriors face off in a battle with the Pine Island Pirates in a Championship game rematch. The game was a close, well-fought game, with a few big hits being the difference in the Warrior loss.

Randal Chase threw a an absolute gem, holding the Champs to just 1 hit, striking out 11 batters in just 5 innings pitched. He did give up a pair of runs (1 Earned) on a missed pitch that ended up in the outfield bleachers.

Jermey Marquardt then took over in the 6th, also pitching very good, giving up 4 hits, on some big clutch hits, including a 2 run double that ultimately sealed the Pirates win. He did strikeout a few batters and held them to minimal damage.

The Warriors offense did accumulate 10 hits, but could only push across 1 run in the game. Jeff Cargill continues his offensive onslaught, as he went 2 for 4 and scored the lone run on a Jeremy Marquardt single (he was 1 for 4). The GOAT Shane Howard had 2 hits, and Joe Blommel continues his team leading batting title adding two more hits on 3 AB's. Tim Busch ripped a double and Tyler Beck and Dan Fitzsimmons also added hits on the day. The timeliness of the hits were not sufficient, as we fail to drive in runs to make it a game.

Defense and pitching was the story, as the Warriors pitching was very good, and our defense played error-free baseball in a great battle.
