After the Warriors narrowly survived the Rampage, they faced off against the 1 seed and defending Champions the Pine Island Pirates. This game was not even close, as the Warriors were unable to muster any offense, accumulating only 2 hits on the day, and the defense allowed 9 runs to cross the plate. Chris Weiseman once again took the mound, taking the loss despite the great pitching performance. Austin Baukol relieved Chris, compiled 5 K's on 4 Runs, and walking 4 batters. The Pirates offense was too much, as the Warriors defense was unable to contain in this game.
Dan Fitzsimmons (1) and Austin Baukol (1) had the only 2 Warrior hits on the day, neither of which were able to cross the plate in an unusually awful offensive performance by the Purple bats. Austin Baukol later said of the performance " don't suck". This was definitely not the case this week.
Being a double elimination tournament, the Warriors continue their playoff championship run the following week.
